The lady doth protest much

Driving back to the office after lunch and I pass some protesters outside of the SeaWorld entrance… The weird thing is that they’re not your typical angry protesters, they’re WAVING at all the cars, like Wal-Mart greeters.

Isn’t that odd?!? Aren’t they supposed to be waving fists or holding clumps of dead fish or something?

And why hasn’t someone told them it’s too hot today for that??? #justsayin

Just got home from a long day at work and I immediately took off my pants. I have to say, taking off my pants is my favorite thing to do when I get home from work. Following at close second is running to the bathroom to pee. It’s even better when no one else is home: I can walk into the kitchen pantsless and fix myself a cold glass of water and not
have to worry that I’ll turn around and see some guest of my roommate’s sleeping on the couch and try to tiptoe past him with my shirt yanked down over my butt, hoping he doesn’t wake until after i’ve scurried into my room.

Oy! So hot today!! A great pantsless day! Once a GA State Patrolman friend of mine said “I’m sweatin’ more than a whore sitting in church on 4th of July Sunday” … I bet the patrolman and the ho would sweat less if they were pantsless. Just sayin.

Ahhh the pantsless life 🙂 gonna go fix myself a glass of water before anyone come home!

Dirt Clouds of Fire

A long time ago, someone once told me: It takes ALL kinds of people to make up the Kingdom of the Lord. As you can see in the image depicted above this is certainly true in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

In our training session yesterday afternoon at work, the training facilitator talked about different personalities in relation to the Four Elements. The idea is that each person exhibits various traits related to Earth, Wind, Fire and Water (I pause here to challenge you NOT to think of an R&B group). Once you understand what catergory a person falls under, you can better communicate with him or her. Which actually sounds pretty cool in theory.

I do however resist the theory that I must fit into once box or another… in life there are too many “elements” to deal with… and why should anyone have to be the same all the time?

Curiosity got the better of me though, so after the training session I had to take at least one quiz, just so I could know. So like everything else I want to know more about, I googled the topic. If you type in “personality elements earth fire wind water quiz” you get:

The Random Quiz I Found.

So I realize I am a … wait for it …  DIRT CLOUD OF FIRE.

Ok I just totally made that up.

I’ve never been one of those people that can easily answer questions about “favorite things”: what’s your favorite book? place to visit? mountains or beach? rainy or sunny? favorite show? favorite movie? So quizzes were you have to answer crap-ass questions like that always trip me up.

(Mental note: post future blog regarding answering dating profile questions)

That kinda stuff changes all the time! Just like personalities… I’ve met people that were totally mellow one day and completely craz-o the next. Fortunately there are prescriptions and intensive therapy for those types, but for the rest of us a gentle flux in our day to day response is perfectly normal.

Besides, I don’t think they make boxes that would fit my dirt cloud of fire in them anyway.
